Job summary
His Majesty's Naval Base Clyde (HMNB Clyde) is home to the United Kingdom's Strategic Nuclear Deterrent, Astute Class Attack Submarines, First Mine Counter Measure Squadron and 43 Cdo Royal Marines. It is an operational support and maintenance base, within the Navy Command TLB and comprises both Faslane and Coulport sites. HMNB Clyde's primary purpose is to provide engineering and logistical support to the Royal Navy in maintaining Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD). This is achieved by ensuring at least one Vanguard Class submarine is on patrol at sea every day of the year.
RNAD Coulport is responsible for the storage, processing, maintenance and issue of the Trident Weapon System and the ammunitioning of all submarine-embarked tactical weapons.

Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Security Manager to join our team at Faslane, HMNB Clyde. As the Physical Security Manager, you will be responsible for providing timely advice and guidance on physical security matters to NBC Clyde, DHNBS, NSA Assistant Head, Base Directors, and their staff. You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of physical security at Faslane on behalf of the NSA Assistant Head and DHNBS.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide timely advice and guidance on physical security matters to senior management and Base personnel as required.
Lead the day-to-day management of physical security at Faslane.
Conduct regular spot checks of physical security infrastructure to ensure continued effectiveness.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the MGS, MDP, and 43Cdo to ensure tasking requirements are met and address any shortfalls.
Author Temporary Security Management Arrangements to maintain the integrity of the Faslane security regime during heightened threat levels or abnormal conditions.
Collaborate with security infrastructure leads to provide physical security advice for infrastructure projects and programmes.
Work with Security Assurance colleagues to provide evidence in compliance with MOD policy.
Develop and maintain an effective search strategy for HMNB Clyde.
Monitor changes to MoD security policy and implement continuous improvement initiatives for HMNB Clyde's security.
Participate in the Security Exercise Programme to uphold Defence Nuclear Security standards.
Represent the Clyde Security Organisation at security-related working groups and forums.
Coordinate ad-hoc taskings across Faslane, such as VVIP visits and non-routine gate movements.
Support external Nuclear Security audits and visits as required.
