Our team is part of the Engineering organization, in the airframe branch, and is dedicated to Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Methods and Processes.


The team is actively working on technology, at all stages of maturity, to develop and deploy solutions contributing to ensuring the quality and safety of the product in efficient ways for Airbus and its customer's competitiveness.


In this scope the team is transverse over the product life cycle (structure tests, manufacturing, production and maintenance), and works in close collaboration with the NDT in production and NDT in-service and structures tests teams.


Within the team, we are opening a position for a specialist in NDT, Inspection and Sensing methods, to lead the NDT engineering contribution in projects aiming at developing and deploying innovative NDT solutions, especially for structure tests, but also with a focus on manufacturing of composite components.


In this role you will


Lead the design of NDT/inspection solutions: development of sensing technology and associated processing algorithms Test NDT/inspection technologies in laboratory conditions to evaluate their potential with respect to the targeted application Design test campaigns to support the development of the inspection technologies. Design test campaigns to evaluate the inspection solutions with respect to the targeted applications. Drive Probability of Detection (POD) campaigns and measurement accuracy studies Contribute to technical qualifications Contribute to AITM (Airbus Test Methods) for NDT and to NTM (Nondestructive Testing Manual) for in-service aircraft procedures Manage the link with internal customers to ensure the adequacy of the proposed solution and ensure its applicability and "deployability" Manage the link with stakeholders to ensure that the solution is serving the bigger picture.

Responsible for the technical delivery of your projects, in time, cost and quality Responsible for the reporting on your projects in the different frameworks Responsible for sub-contracted activities in the perimeter of your projects.
Required skills


Experience in Inspection / NDT / SHM methods Competence in "Computational NDT", with emphasis on inspection data processing Competence in simulation of NDT Competences in design of experiments Innovation mindset Good knowledge of structures tests is a big plus Good technical communication Customer oriented
You will join a very dynamic, transnational team of engineers.


Your activities will be in strong collaboration with other organizations in Airbus, including Research and Technology, Manufacturing Engineering and Customer Services.
