We are seeking a NDT Level 2 & Deburr Operator for our Nasmyth Bulwell operation, responsible for carrying out NDT of parts in order to ensure that all failures in material and manufacturing processes are correctly identified and quality standards are maintained. Working to plan and performing polishing and finishing operations of exacting tolerance on production parts which are typically at or near final stages of the manufacturing process with extremely tight tolerances for a fast paced, dynamic and growing Aerospace engineering business.
Performing NDT testing and inspections using both Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant methods, analysing results, and preparing detailed reports.
Detecting defects and interpreting test outcomes.
Creation of NDT Technique cards
Compiling test reports and presenting key findings.
Participating in Nadcap and customer audits.
Conducting control checks and documenting the results.
Ensuring compliance with Nadcap prime specifications.
Working with the company standards and maintaining adherence to all applicable quality requirements.
Working from drawings, sketches, computer generated information and verbal instructions to plan the polishing, finishing or re-work operations to be performed
Knowledge and Experience
Experience and understanding of working to Rolls-Royce NDT procedures would be an advantage
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a focus on continuous process improvement.
Proficiency in applying NDT techniques for magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant inspections.
Ability to work independently and take initiative
