Main Purpose
This role presents a long-term, engaging, and rewarding opportunity as a key member of Bilfinger UK's expanding inspection team at Hinkley Point C. In the role of an NDT Technician, you will play a crucial role in the execution of a quality NDT service throughout the site.
Main Responsibilities
Conducting NDT (volumetric and surface methods) on pipework, tanks/vessels and structures. Complete inspection reports in a timely and accurate manner
Accurately interpreting and documenting test findings in alignment with procedures and industry acceptance standards
Reviewing colleagues' reports and interpretation of results
Complete and record daily equipment checks
Strict adherence to both our internal and site-specific health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) policies
Conducting point of work risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment
Providing mentorship and training to apprentices
Write detailed and concise inspection technique sheet
Experience and Qualifications
Essential: PCN Level 2 or equivalent ISO 9712 certification in Radiography, MPI and DPI
Preference for candidates with additional NDT qualifications (PCN ARS, UT, VT)
Experience with new build, construction site weld testing
Desirable: knowledge of IRR 2017
Can-do, problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and a willing ability to work in a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
