We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in a restaurant setting. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
Monitor food safety practices to maintain hygiene and quality standards
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety
Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as necessary
Requirements
Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant environment
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable
