Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver products to clients and customers. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency. Load and unload goods, sometimes involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures upon completion of deliveries. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and ensure the vehicle remains in excellent condition. Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, often handling bulky or heavy items. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and handle paperwork accurately. Physical fitness to undertake the demands of the role, including prolonged periods of driving and manual handling tasks. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in delivering excellent service while maintaining safety standards at all times.
