We are looking for a self-motivated, dedicated and reliable team player to work in a busy Area Housing Office Team. You will need to balance the support and advice aspects of the post with elements of enforcement in respect of the occupation contract terms and conditions, this will include anti-social behaviour.

You will be responsible for the allocation and letting of empty properties. The ability to multitask and organise your own work priorities is essential for this role.

There will be a high level of customer interaction which includes visiting people in their homes as well as seeing people in the office, and the behaviours of individuals can sometimes be challenging.

A priority for the Housing Service is to support tenants to sustain their tenancy. You will be expected to be the face of the community, be out daily on your patch, visit people in their homes, and support colleagues on their patches. Liaison is key element of the role, and you will be expected to work with a range of partners; this will include colleagues within the Housing Service, other departments of the Council and external partners such as the Police.

An existing knowledge of the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 is advantageous but not essential, you must however be able to follow and interpret guidance and have a consistent approach in how they are applied.
