Our Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) is a busy Level 1 unit providing 10 cots in total comprising of 2 HDU cots and 4 Special Care cot's, with a 4 bedded Transitional Care Service.
We provide care to babies and their families from 32 weeks gestation, but also provide stabilisation for babies born before this gestation, or critically ill term neonates prior to retrieval by the Peninsula Neonatal Transport Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, innovative nurse to work effectively within the ward team.
You should possess an RN, RSCN, RN Child, or RM qualification.
Completion of the Neonatal Modules is desirable although a willingness to work towards achieving them is acceptable.
Experience of working within a neonatal environment is desirable and this can include recent experience gained as a student within a Neonatal Placement.
We also consider applications from nurses working within adult areas who wish to bring their transferable skills into a Neonatal setting. We provide a supportive, friendly environment with the neonate and their family at the centre of everything we do. The unit operates an 11.5hr shift system covering days/nights/weekends/bank holidays.
