We have a current vacancy for a band 6 Neonatal nurse. If you are currently working as a Band 6 and are looking for a new challenge or are a Band 5 looking for career progression, this could be the job for you.
The right candidate must be qualified in speciality (ENB 405 or Neonatal Pathway) with good leadership and communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Opportunities available to join special interest groups within the team, potential after gaining sufficient experience to join the neonatal emergency transfer team.

The post holder will be a proficient clinical practitioner who will take charge of the ward in the absence of the ward sister.
They will support the ward sister in her role and will be able to supervise, mentor and teach junior staff, acting as a role-model, in order to ensure that optimum standards of care are delivered at all times to neonates and their families.
In conjunction with the ward sister they are responsible for ensuring that trust policies and procedures are adhered to and that trust objectives are met.
The post holder will require effective communication skills and an ability to ensure effective core team working.
The post holder will be required to participate in their continuing professional development and other development activities, including mentorship and contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
The post holder will work across Haywards Heath & Brighton to cover the neonatal service, as required.
