Neonatal Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse

(Permanent - full/part-time)



Are you a Qualified in Specialty (QIS) neonatal nurse with a passion for delivering outstanding care to our smallest patients and their families? Are you ready to take the next step in your career and embrace a leadership role within a supportive and forward-thinking team?



We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dedicated neonatal unit at Russell's Hall Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead by example, support junior staff, and contribute to the continuous development of neonatal services.



What we're looking for:



QIS qualification (essential)



Proven experience in neonatal intensive, high dependency, and special care



Strong leadership and decision-making skills



We warmly welcome informal visits to meet the team, explore the unit, and see what makes our neonatal service so special.



To assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care for babies and their families, ensuring effective liaison with other agencies as appropriate .



To contribute to the development of multidisciplinary electronic patient record database , participating in the review of current documentation.



To work as a senior member of the Neonatal Team, providing support and leadership to all staff as appropriate .



To be responsible for the delivery of high standards of effective patient care, ensuring individual programmes of care are assessed, planned, implemented and evaluated.



To promote and maintain effective communication systems both within and outside



t h e Trust and create an environment that encourages open communication and T rust .



To act as a professional role model, through commitment to the integration into practice of Trust policies and procedures.



To ensure that all nursing and midwifery practice is in accordance with NMC Code of Conduct



Be involved in establishing Trust/Network agreed standards of care by which overall performances can be measured and evaluated, keeping up to date with clinical governance activities.
