Background

Hugh James is a leading top 500 law firm
based in Cardiff; we are seeking an experienced .Net Developer to
join our innovative team on a 6 month contract.

The role

Experienced as a .NET developer (C#, ASP.NET CORE/Framework) having delivered a variety of solutions from web front end to back end services and integrations with third party API. Strong understanding of design patterns and principles like SOLID, security best practices (OWASP) and other development best practices. Experience with front end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks like Angular, React or Blazor. Solid understanding of SQL Server including writing queries, stored procedures and functions. Familiarity with Azure DevOps for work & code management. Project manage own time and meet deadlines for application production. Work closely with Business Departments and the Test Team to ensure problems are understood and solutions are built and delivered to requirement and quality standards. Design and conduct the testing of programs; correct errors and re-test to achieve an error free result. Document all work in accordance with the Firms software development guidelines. Provide 3rd tier support to the IT Support team. Take part in reviews of your own work and the work of colleagues. Development and support of other solutions and systems that are managed by the Development Team as and when required.
