Please note that this position is located in London, and is 3 days a week in the office, the rest of the time is up to you!


This is an exciting opportunity to join the JET Transactional Comms team, have a direct impact on how we communicate with millions of customers through various notification channels, and enhance our customer communications at Just Eat Takeaway.


The team's focus is on engaging customers through informative, rich, meaningful, and timely communications. While respecting their preferences, our goal is to ensure that customers know exactly what's happening with their order at any time. This is a high-impact team, focused on our communications via email, sms, push notifications and other media.


The team is responsible for JET's centralised notification system, enabling other teams to focus on their domains and removing a burden from engineering teams, who only need to inform the customer that their food is on the way.

These are some of the key components to the position

:

Collaborate with the team to produce high-quality software which fits the team's expectations and best practices Contribute to the definition of product features, getting involved in workshops with other engineering teams and Product Managers Ensure continuous improvements by proposing and implementing new processes, designs and engineering practices that make the team more effective Transparently communicate your progress and discuss ideas with your team and Technology Manager. Get involved in defining product features and participate in workshops with your team.

What will you bring to the table?

Proficient in C# and familiar with the .NET ecosystem Experience of the AWS platform (or similar e.g Azure, Google Cloud) Experience with NoSQL databases, like DynamoDB or CosmosDB Experience in testing (Unit, Integration, E2E etc) Good collaboration skills (we're advocates of inner-sourced software development at JET!) Good knowledge of system architecture and how to design robust, resilient, and scalable solutions
