The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Net Zero Consultant

to join our growing sustainability team. In this role, you will advise organisations on developing and implementing credible Net Zero strategies, carbon reduction pathways, and climate action plans in line with best-practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Net Zero strategies for clients across sectors, including commercial, industrial, public, and infrastructure. Conduct carbon footprinting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), baseline assessments, and science-based target setting. Support the design and delivery of decarbonisation roadmaps, sustainability reporting, and climate risk assessments. Advise clients on climate-related frameworks such as SBTi, TCFD, CDP, GHG Protocol, and PAS 2060. Collaborate with stakeholders to build engagement and ensure organisational buy-in for Net Zero objectives. Monitor regulatory and market developments in sustainability and climate policy. Contribute to proposals, business development, and thought leadership activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in delivering Net Zero or decarbonisation strategies in a consultancy or corporate environment. Strong knowledge of carbon accounting methodologies and relevant standards. Familiarity with UK climate policy, ESG reporting frameworks, and sustainability regulations. Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders. A degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or chartership is desirable.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 56,514.00-64,853.00 per year
