Senior DevOps Network Engineer



Location: Aylesbury, UK or Dusseldorf, Germany

Type: Full-Time (Hybrid Remote - Need to be able to reach the office 1-2 days per week)

Seniority: Intermediate to Senior

We're seeking a Senior DevOps Network Engineer to take ownership of modern network operations across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role is ideal for a technically hands-on professional with deep experience in cloud networking, firewalls, automation, and secure connectivity.



What You'll Do
Design, configure, and maintain robust network infrastructure supporting cloud-based platforms Manage firewall systems and implement access control measures Configure and monitor secure VPN tunnels Deploy and automate infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible Implement and support DNS, reverse proxy services (e.g. Traefik, HAProxy), and monitoring/logging tools Use tools such as NMAP and Wireshark for analysis and troubleshooting Work with protocols like BGP, RIP, OSPF to optimize routing and traffic flows Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support secure, scalable infrastructure
What We're Looking For
5+ years of professional experience in a network engineering or DevOps environment Hands-on expertise with Juniper networking equipment (SRX, QFX/EX) and Microsoft Azure networking Strong knowledge of DNS, VPNs, reverse proxies, and identity/access management Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform and Ansible Comfortable with modern networking tools and protocols Strong documentation and communication skills Fluent in English, both written and spoken
