Overview


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering and administration, with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of various networking technologies and protocols, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities



Design, implement, and manage WAN and LAN networks to ensure high availability and performance. Configure and maintain Cisco ASA firewalls, VPNs, and network security measures. Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, and Splunk. Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security measures to protect the network infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects, including data center management and cloud security initiatives. Troubleshoot network issues related to routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and ensure optimal data flow across the network. Implement load balancing solutions for high availability of applications and services. Manage user authentication through LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, and other identity management solutions. Develop scripts using Python or Bash for automation of routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency. Stay current with emerging technologies in networking and security to continuously improve the network architecture.

Skills



Proficient in computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, VoIP, QoS. Experience with Cisco ISE for identity services and Meraki for cloud-managed networking solutions. Knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as SAN storage systems and virtualization technologies (VMware). Familiarity with operating systems including Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), Windows, macOS, BSD, Solaris. Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for deploying secure network solutions. Strong scripting skills for automation using Ansible or similar tools. Experience with telecommunication protocols and encryption methods for secure data transmission. Ability to work within Agile methodologies to deliver projects efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service in a network support role. Pay: 25.00-30.00 per hour
