Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with existing SC clearance and strong emphasis on Juniper, Palo Alto and Cisco technologies and application delivery technologies to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and contribute to the overall strategic direction of our technology initiatives.

Duties



Design, configure, and maintain Juniper, Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls, switches and routers. Support LAN, WAN, VPN, and data centre network operations across multiple sites. Configuration and maintenance of Application Load balancers/reverse proxies (L4 and L7) e.g. F5, Nginx, HA Proxy etc. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime. Implement and manage security controls on Juniper, Palo Alto and Cisco appliances Collaborate with architecture teams on network design and strategic planning. Perform firmware and software upgrades, configuration backups, and patch management. Participate in network migrations, expansions, and disaster recovery planning. Maintain detailed network documentation and change control records. Assist with implementation of network segmentation, zero-trust architectures, and secure connectivity. Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers for support and escalation.

Experience



5+ years of hands-on experience with Juniper, Palo Alto and Cisco network devices. Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) and switching technologies (STP, VLANs, LACP) and VXLAN EVPN fabrics Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls. (physical and virtual editions). Experience with deploying, maintaining SaaS networking technologies on Public Cloud(AWS VPCs, GCP and Azure etc. and in Private Cloud equivalents in particular VMWare NSX. Experience with network monitoring tools and integrating these with networking devices to create specific alerts on key events etc. Deep understanding of Switching and TCP/IP, NAT, ACLs, IPsec VPNs, and multicast and voice/video streaming over IP networks. Experience configuring and managing Cisco Cube devices required Experience of GDC Air Gapped would be beneficial Comfortable with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) and centralised versioning tooling Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket etc. to deploy network changes. Strong experience in troubleshooting and optimising network traffic including traffic flow analysis, packet capture.
