Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for doing the following.

Duties

Hands and Feet Support: Provide on-site Hands & Feet support for hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Perform racking, stacking, cabling, and labelling of network and server equipment. Connect to devices using console access (e.g., Cisco Nexus switches, routers, firewalls, HP Servers, Arista). Use tools like PuTTY, Anydesk, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams for remote collaboration and support. Handle and manage network cables, SFPs, single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) fiber connections. Perform physical checks, power cycling, and hardware replacements as per remote team instructions. Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory and support activities. Coordinate with network and system teams for issue resolution and escalations. Ensure adherence to data center safety and operational protocols. Record Keeping: Maintaining records of support requests, resolutions, and equipment inventory

Qualifications

Proven experience in network engineering with a strong understanding of computer networking principles. Familiarity with network management tools such as VMware vSphere and Citrix for virtualisation needs. Experience with SAN technologies and storage management is advantageous. Knowledge of APIs for integrating various systems within the network architecture is beneficial. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. Relevant certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA/CCNP) are preferred but not mandatory.
