Network Engineer
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
3 Month Contract (INSIDE IR35)
Rate: \xc2\xa3375 - \xc2\xa3425 per day
Skills: CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Firepower, Cisco Nexus

We are looking to recruit a Network Engineer for a technology driven police force based in Hull, East Yorkshire.

Role Overview:

As a Network Engineer with us, you\'ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and advancing my client\'s network infrastructure to support the unique demands of a technology-driven police force. Your expertise in network hardware technologies, coupled with your in-depth knowledge of protocols and security measures, will contribute to the seamless operation of our critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize your excellent understanding of Network Hardware Technologies (preferably CISCO) including Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Routers, Switches, WI-FI, and Wan Acceleration.
• Demonstrate proficiency in network technologies such as TCP/IP, MPLS, Client VPN and WAN VPN, WAN, LAN, VLANs, QoS, Multi-Cast, Telephony and VOIP, and Penetration Testing.
• Leverage your CCNA certification to architect, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions effectively.
• Collaborate with a highly skilled team, sharing your knowledge and learning from others to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the enhancement of security through your experience with Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Firewall, and Cisco Nexus Switches.
• Maintain a pulse on industry trends, applying your expertise to ensure our network remains cutting-edge and resilient.
• Demonstrate a strong foundation in Web Service, Security Certification, and SSL technology, enhancing the security posture of our network.

• Relevant degree or proven experience at an industry-standard level.
• CCNA certification is a must, showcasing your expertise in Cisco networking.
• Additional certifications like CCNP, CCDA, Cisco Firepower, and Palo Alto Firewall experience are desirable but not essential.
• Familiarity with Cisco Nexus Switches and other relevant networking technologies.
• A passion for staying updated with the latest advancements in network hardware and security.
