Technical Network Lead - Cheltenham, UK (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly skilled

Technical Network Lead

to support the Network Infrastructure and Data Centre services for a leading organisation. This is a permanent/12-month fixed-term role with hybrid working from

Cheltenham, UK

(2-3 days per week in the office).

Salary:

65,000-70,000 per annum

Role Summary

As Technical Network Lead, you will manage and support network environments across two UK Data Centres and six manufacturing sites. You will lead a NOC team, deliver Network Service Requests, resolve incidents, and execute changes. This role demands strong

architect-level network and network security knowledge

.

Key Responsibilities

Operational support of enterprise network environments (routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, proxies) Lead NOC team for incident handling, ticket analysis, and escalations Support and maintain monitoring and alerting tools (Cisco Catalyst Centre, Pressler PRTG, Nagios, etc.) Perform packet analysis and low-level troubleshooting Manage Service Requests, Change execution, and SOP documentation Collaborate with Cyber Security, Application, Linux, Windows, and Database teams Ensure asset management and CMDB accuracy Promote "Automation First" thinking and implement automation use cases Provide on-call P1 operational support as scheduled

Qualifications & Requirements

UKSV SC Clearance

; British passport holder Strong network and network security expertise (

CCIE-level knowledge

) Experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, F5) Prior NOC/incident handling experience across enterprise data centres Skilled in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Characteristics

Technical understanding of

Data Centre architecture and infrastructure

Experience with

enterprise network design and architecture

(HLD/LLD) Knowledge of network automation tooling Experience with

Load Balancers, proxies, WAF, and firewall logs

SoC experience advantageous
