About the role (External)
As Network Rail invests in new technology, the ability to carry out tasks remotely without having to go trackside is increasing.
You will be part of a 24x7 team based in Doncaster, working three shifts per week for a total of 35 hours.
The role involves monitoring various alarm systems looking for issues that could affect train running across Great Britain.
No two days are the same with issues arising from failed equipment, the weather, vandalism, etc.
You will diagnose and assess impact before working with various resolver teams to get passenger and freight trains running normally again as quickly as possible.
