Role Overview:





As the rate of adoption and our range of solutions expands, we are seeking a Manager of the Network Services Customer Solutions team to work in a Client facing technical pre-sales support role, based in London and aimed at providing solutions expertise across EMEA, both directly and indirectly.



The role includes:


Direct Client activities - delivering presentations, design workshops, responding to RFPs and preparing solutions proposals and bids as well as an on-going life cycle account support. External 3rd party/Partner interaction - working within the eco system in co-operation with 3rd party consultancies and other vendors and service providers. Bid support - RFI, RFP response preparation and complex solution proposals Indirect support to distribution and regional offices to ensure that product and corporate messaging is accurate and on point. Working with product management, marketing and other internal IPC functions to ensure a quality life cycle support to existing Clients and a constructive input and competitive market feedback aimed at new product and service specifications and campaigns. Work with Account Manager to drive closure of business.

The successful candidate is likely to be currently working in a pre-sales or system engineering role within a financial markets services provider or telecoms and will have a blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, organization, enthusiasm and excellent communications skills. The primary office location will be in London, but some foreign travel may be required. We are looking for a candidate with proven track record of presentation skills and customer-facing experience, one that will gain the respect of both global clients and colleagues and can work under pressure.


How You Will Make an Impact:




To discover, understand and define customer requirements To position the benefits of IPC solution in the context of the target environment To respond to a broad range of technical solutions questions To design customised solutions that may range from optimisation of standard product configurations to complex design projects involving integration of 3rd party products. To position hybrid infrastructure opportunities across public, private and hybrid platforms from inception through to handover into delivery To prepare, host and deliver tailored Customer presentations Products, solutions and services - benefits, feature, technical details and designs Technology direction and roadmap To generate responses to RFP questions as part of a bid team that are: Technically accurate, credible and in context Well written, concise and easily understood, with clear, professional graphics Geared to promote IPC's strengths Delivered to agreed schedules. To provide a conduit between Clients and IPC Product Management for product enhancements and other requirements

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:





Minimum of 3-5 years' experience

in a Sales Engineer role or similar technical client-facing position.

Previous experience in a Financial Markets Services Provider

is highly desirable.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

(or equivalent professional experience). Academic qualifications must meet minimum transcript standards. Relevant certifications such as

CCNA

and

CCNP

are strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of hosting architectures

and systems administration. Proven experience with

server hardware

and infrastructure design. Familiarity with

datacentre colocation environments

. Hands-on experience with

virtualization and containerization platforms

(e.g. VMware, Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of

cloud technologies

(e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP). Exposure to

low-latency trading infrastructure

and

market data feeds

. Understanding of

Financial Extranets

and the broader financial technology landscape. Expertise in routing protocols such as

BGP

,

OSPF

,

RIP

, and

ISIS

. Familiarity with

carrier-grade MPLS traffic engineering

in Managed WAN, VPLS, and Financial Extranet settings. Experience with

PTP (Precision Time Protocol)

,

Boundary Clocks

,

Grandmasters

, and other synchronization technologies. Knowledge of

SIP voice signaling protocols

and

Carrier Ethernet implementations

. Solid grasp of

network security principles

, including

encryption

,

authentication

,

firewall configuration

, and

SBCs (Session Border Controllers)

.
