Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Test Analyst
to support a major Programme involving the
transition and transformation of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)
network connectivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in network infrastructure and testing, with a hands-on approach and familiarity with operational data centre environments. Experience with National Grid projects is a plus, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop test scripts based on Test Plans and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for network infrastructure components including routers, switches, and firewalls
Execute and support all test phases: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster Recovery, and Operational Acceptance
Import and manage test cases within
HP ALM
, including linking them to requirements
Capture test execution evidence and log/report defects in ALM
Required Skills and Experience:
Testing & Documentation:
Test case development and execution for network infrastructure
Experience with ALM: test case management, defect tracking, and reporting
Ability to interpret HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design) documents
Practical Technical Skills:
Proficiency with
Cisco switch/router console commands
Experience handling
fibre optic cables
Understanding of
data centre operations and procedures
Familiarity with
RFC 2544
network test procedures and equipment setup
Exposure to
Network and Service Management tools
(e.g., StableNet)
Additional Information:
Candidates
must be UK-based
SC Clearance required (either already held or eligible to start the process)
Flexibility may be required during the contract; short pauses may occur, but with advance notice
Strong communication, analytical thinking, and documentation skills are essential

Pay: 60,000.00-65,000.00 per year
