Neurodivergent Support Worker Required

Working Hours Monday, Friday ,Saturday 10:00- 17:00

I am a 40-year-old male with a diagnosis of Autism and Learning Disabilities. I require around-the-clock support to enable me to live a safe and fulfilled life within my own home. I currently live in Denholme.

I currently have a great support team and am looking for someone who can expand my support network, I prefer female support staff where possible.

I would like someone who has a good sense of humor and can be patient and understanding of my specific needs. I need you to develop skills to perceive the world through my eyes and adapt to changing circumstances to suit my needs.

Generally, I am happy and content; at times I can struggle to manage my emotions and will require support when I'm feeling anxious. Sometimes I can present with challenging behaviours. You will be trained to help me through these episodes.

Things that are important to me are the environment, nature, and animals. I have an interest in wind turbines and my plant collection.

What will you be doing?



The main aim is to enable me to live a happy & fulfilled life this will be done through:

Providing support with daily life including household chores, social activities & appointments. Supporting me with new interests, reaching goals like traveling and holidays, and working positively to develop my life skills. Helping me engage in different leisure and community activities according to my personal choice. Providing reassurance & general companionship.

We develop, support and retain a highly skilled workforce who will always maintain the highest standards of care. Recruitment is individualised and always person centred. Service users have a dedicated small team of support staff with no cross over of support. Support staff will work closely with each other to create a safe & supportive environment for the individual, this will involve listening, learning and always working together.

Support staff are trained to meet all requirements above and beyond current care standards. Training is identified & tailored to individual needs and complexity. Understanding everyone's needs will be unique to them. Training will always be relevant to diagnosis, need, risk, safety, behaviour and medical requirements. The best interest of everyone involved will always be the focus of training and development. Our aim is to invest and develop our staff, so you stay with us for the long haul!
