This is an exciting time to join the Interventional Neuroradiology team in the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford! Our service is expanding with the planning for second biplane neurointerventional suite. We provide literal life changing care for patients within Oxfordshire and its surrounding counties. We have two full time band 6 nurse vacancies in our team! This post includes on call working on nights, weekends and bank holidays.Main duties of the jobWe are a friendly team of nurses, radiographers, radiologists and radiology assistants delivering a high standard of care. The unique and varied nature of the speciality means that there is always something new and interesting to learn. Your role is to work as a scrub or a circulating nurse in our angiography suites as well as admitting and looking after our day case patients in the unit.This is an opportunity for you to deliver high standard of 1 to 1 patient care. Previous experience working in a theatre environment, interventional radiology, neurosciences or stroke is desirable but not essential. You will be fully supported during your first 6 months with mentorship and a competency training package.We have flexible shift patterns coveringMonday to Sunday 7am-8pm. On call service is provided from 8pm till 7am Monday to Sunday and all day on bank holidays.
