New Business Sales Representative

We are a box manufacturer and packaging distributor based in Sheffield. We have existing business within the local area but are looking to focus and develop on NEW business through a sales representative. The role will be predominantly field based, but it will require you to carry out your administrative time in the office.

You must live within a 30-mile radius of our site in Sheffield, S20 8NQ, to reduce your time spent on the road. The area you will be prospecting will be confirmed on appointment but would also be within this radius of the business.

We are looking for an experienced salesperson (internally/externally) from the packaging industry. Preferably with knowledge of cardboard boxes, but specifically you must have experience in this field, and previous activity within the local area. We do expect that you will be familiar with different specifications of cardboard, adhesive tapes, stretch film, strapping, etc.

On appointment, we would discuss and set targets for you to achieve in terms of your activity each day/week and would require for you to provide full and written reports on this activity, in order for us to discuss and review your progress. The appointment would be subject to a probationary period of 3 months, with an appraisal at the end of this period.

We would provide you with suitable training on our product range, a laptop, internal support. You will ideally need your own transport with which business mileage will be paid at 45p/mile, though this can be discussed during an interview.

The role is full time, Monday-Thursday 8.30-5pm, Friday 8.30-2.30pm. 20 days paid holiday + bank holidays as standard. You will be auto enrolled into the NEST pension scheme whereby both you and the company will make contributions.
