URM Consulting Services Ltd (URM) has a fantastic opportunity for a person to discover their talents in a sales environment. URM is looking for a hard-working person with a positive attitude to join its New Business Sales Team. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to learn URM's service offerings and to develop essential sales skills with on-the-job training. They will own the full sales cycle from making initial contact with clients, to sending out sales proposals and maintaining relationships to discovering further opportunities in the future. The role holder needs to possess:
Excellent communication skills and be able to work with people at all levels and in particular senior management
Strong literacy and numeracy skills and, most importantly, be articulate
Basic sales skills including the ability to generate opportunities
Self-confidence and have a clear and friendly 'telephone' voice
Enthusiasm and a proactive approach

A cool head and be able to work under pressure
A flexible working attitude
Good time management skills
Basic IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
In addition, the role holder must be:
A quick learner and be able to assimilate information about URM's services and products along with clients' requirements quickly and accurately
Able to work on their own and as part of a team and be able to contribute to individual, team and company targets and objectives
Success driven.
Generating opportunities by:
Maximising prospect databases
Generating new leads via outbound calls
Contacting URM's dormant accounts
Following up seminar leads
Following up on the back of marketing promotional activity
Utilising social media channels to generate interest and opportunities and researching clients (including LinkedIn)
Identifying and getting through to the best contacts at an organisation
Qualifying and developing opportunities - training provided on:
Asking open questions
Understanding clients' requirements and utilising knowledge of URM's services to propose a solution
Establishing a 'need'
Qualifying clients requirements
Arranging suitable appointments with the account manager and/or consultancy team
Being persistent and knowledgeable
Developing a rapport from the initial contact and with all levels (including the gatekeepers)
Recognising new opportunities when talking to potential clients
Following up phone conversations with professional, well written and concise emails and maintaining regular and relevant contact
Being resilient and creative in getting through to key contacts at an organisation
Attending and actively participating in URM organised seminars/webinars.
