You will assist with general domestic duties and provide support in the kitchen, including meal preparation, serving food, and ensuring compliance with all food hygiene and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general cleaning and domestic duties in accordance with established schedules and hygiene standards.
Support kitchen operations, including preparing and serving meals and refreshments.
Follow food safety regulations regarding preparation, cooking, and storage.
Use all cleaning materials and equipment safely and appropriately, ensuring proper storage after use.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Record cleaning and kitchen activities as required.
Participate in supervision meetings, team discussions, and training sessions to support continuous improvement.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and contribute to a positive, safe workplace.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote excellent service delivery and uphold organisational values.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience performing general cleaning and domestic tasks.
Ability to operate basic cleaning and kitchen equipment safely (e.g. powered floor polishers, kitchen appliances, laundry machines).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
Ability to follow instructions and complete routine records accurately.
Positive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented attitude.
Respectful and sensitive approach when supporting service users.
Desirable
Experience working in a care or community service environment.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety practices.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Standard DBS Check Required.
