Duties



Assist with food preparation and meal assembly, following established recipes and safety guidelines Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage, cleaning, and sanitation procedures are maintained at all times Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and portioning to support chefs and catering staff Support the kitchen team in serving meals efficiently during busy service times Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Aid in catering setups for special events or large-scale meal services Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels needing replenishment

Skills



Proven experience in cooking, food preparation, or food service environments is highly desirable Strong knife skills with the ability to safely handle various kitchen tools Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices Experience working in restaurants or catering environments is a plus Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic culinary techniques Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
