We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified or Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. Our setting newly opened in March this year is a small independent setting taking up to 9 babies and 25 toddlers and preschoolers. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners to support the development and care of children, fostering their growth through engaging activities and play. If already qualified we will support you with any professional progression. We are new so looking to grow our team and business slowly meaning their is room for promotion and career progression as we expand.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities tailored to the needs of children.
Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating nursery environment conducive to learning.
Collaborate with team members to create a supportive atmosphere that promotes teamwork and shared responsibility.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childcare and early childhood education.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children is highly desirable, particularly in a nursery or childcare setting. This is not essential if you have a genuine passion for working with children we want to hear from you!
Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and management skills are beneficial for aspiring practitioners looking for career progression.
Ability to travel to location via public transport, car or walking is essential due to village location.

DBS on update service advantageous but no essential this can be arranged by the nursery. This job is exempt for the regulation of offenders act and all staff will be required to undertake an enhanced dbs check.
