Newly Qualified Accountant (Public Sector)
VANRATH are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a large public sector organisation in Northern Ireland to recruit a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their very busy finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a newly created role and would suit a technically strong accountant keen to make their first move into public sector. This role is a 12 month contract with a view to being made permanent.

About you

Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
Excellent Excel and systems experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deli with senior stakeholders

What you'll do

Preparation of management accounts and month end close
External Audit of Financial Statements
Finance business partnering with various stakeholders
Financial forecasting
Preparation of statutory year end accounts and liaison with the auditors
Balance Sheet reconciliations
Perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time.
