We are looking for passionate newly qualified nurses to join us at Stockton Hall hospital York.
We offer a full 12 month preceptorship training package with continued support.

The role of the (Registered Mental Health) Preceptor Nurse is to work as an effective member of the Multi Disciplinary team. Responsible for maintaining a safe Care Environment. Exercise professional accountability and responsibility using professional skills, knowledge and expertise in changing environments. To achieve the required post qualification competencies within a 12 month framework.
Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of clients/patients within an agreed framework.
Plan and implement a structured approach to nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes.
Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their needs and to evaluate progress.
Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
Evaluate and respond to changes in patient condition and needs.
Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients and their families / carers.
Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team
Participate in regular clinical and non-clinical meetings and attend other meetings as requested
Prioritise nursing duties and delegate appropriately and effectively within the shift co-ordination
Framework under the supervision of a Staff Nurse or Senior Staff Nurse.
Maintain a continued level of personal professional development in accordance to preceptorship and revalidation standards.
Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests, suggestions and enquiries.
Helps to promote and to maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient / relatives and carers
Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice at least once a month.
Work under the supervision of a Registered Mental Health Nurse, taking charge of the ward as agreed within their supervision.
Work in accordance with Safeguarding adult and children policies and requirements.
Adhere to medicines management and policies at all times.
Ensure the requirements of the Mental Health Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties Standards are met.
Adhere to Priory Group policies and protocols and adhere to NMC Code
Stockton Hall is a highly specialist hospital where patients requiring a medium secure care setting can maximise value from therapeutic interventions. Our services have produced excellent recovery results for patients and they are able to progress to low secure or locked rehabilitation if possible.
