The Role
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious newly qualified solicitor to join our dynamic civil litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified legal professional to work on a diverse caseload, gain hands-on experience, and develop a strong foundation in dispute resolution within a supportive and dynamic team.
Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload including contract disputes, property disputes, and landlord and tenant matters.
Assist senior solicitors with complex disputes.
Draft legal documents such as statements of case, witness statements, and court applications.
Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and advice for clients.
Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and billing records.
Liaise with clients, counsel, and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
Conduct client meetings and contribute to the preparation of legal advice.
Contribute to business development initiatives.
Requirements
Qualified as a solicitor in England or Wales (up to 1 year PQE)
Minimum 2:2 degree or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Previous legal experience (e.g. paralegal work) is desirable but not essential
