has launched the first

24-hour international English-language news channel

headquartered in Manchester, broadcasting via Sky and other global networks. Our mission is to deliver news that serves the public interest, under OFCOM's broadcasting standards.

We're looking for an experienced

News Editor

to join our growing editorial team. You will lead story selection, shape editorial tone, and ensure our coverage is accurate, compelling and aligned with the channel's vision. You'll mentor reporters and producers, drive daily news planning, and uphold the highest standards of journalism to connect with and inform our audience

Responsibilities

Oversee the editorial process from story conception to publication, ensuring all content meets our high standards of quality. Edit articles for clarity, grammar, style, and adherence to our editorial guidelines. Collaborate with reporters and contributors to develop compelling news stories and features. Utilise photography skills to enhance articles with relevant images and visuals. Employ video editing techniques to create engaging multimedia content for our online platforms. Manage the layout and design of articles using Adobe InDesign and other design software. Ensure all content is optimised for digital platforms, including social media channels. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in journalism.

Experience

Proven experience in a news editing role or similar position within the media industry. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and InDesign. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English grammar and style. A background in journalism or communications is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.
