headquartered in Manchester, broadcasting via Sky and other global networks. Our mission is to deliver news that serves the public interest, under OFCOM's broadcasting standards.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled

News Reporter

to join our dynamic newsroom. You will research, investigate, and deliver compelling stories that inform and engage our audience, both from the field and in the studio, helping shape the channel's news coverage with accuracy and impact.

Duties

Prior experience in journalism or reporting. Conduct thorough research on newsworthy events and topics to ensure accuracy in reporting. Write clear, concise, and engaging news articles for print, online, and broadcast media. Conduct interviews with sources, including experts, witnesses, and members of the public to gather information. Edit video content using Adobe Premiere and other video editing software to create compelling news segments. Collaborate with editors and other reporters to develop story ideas and ensure quality control. Translate content as needed for bilingual audiences, ensuring cultural relevance and accuracy. Utilise Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design needs related to news stories.

Skills

Strong research and writing skills. Confident in live, on-camera situations. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends. Strong understanding of ethical journalism. Background in Journalism with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage social media platforms effectively for news dissemination. Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage for creating visual content.
