We are seeking a dedicated, energetic Night Care Assistant to provide compassionate support and essential care overnight. In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents in care home settings. Monitor residents or patients throughout the night to ensure safety and comfort, responding promptly to any needs or emergencies. Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks such as vital signs measurement, catheter care, and documentation within the scope of practice. Assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer devices, supporting individuals with dementia, developmental disabilities, or mobility challenges. Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Observe and report any changes in health status, behaviour, or environment to the medical team promptly. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or patients during overnight hours to promote well-being. Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques diligently to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
