Job Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, supporting the implementation of care plans, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding. Help implement and monitor care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour. Foster a supportive environment by engaging residents in social activities and companionship. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support. Drive to clients' homes when required for home care services.

Skills

Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members. Experience in a care home setting or home care is advantageous. Ability to understand and assist with the development of care plans tailored to individual needs. Medication training an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred.
