Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Night Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, monitoring residents' health and reporting any changes. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and friendly environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in administrative tasks as required. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the highest standards of care are met. Drive residents to appointments or outings as necessary, ensuring their comfort during transport.

Skills

Proficient in English with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members. Experience in home care or within a care home setting is advantageous. Familiarity with creating and following care plans to meet individual needs. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
