We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality care during overnight hours. Duties
Monitor residents' vital signs and overall condition throughout the night, ensuring timely response to any changes
Assist with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures
Provide personal care including hygiene, mobility assistance
Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies
Respond promptly to emergency situations
Facilitate safe transfers and mobility using appropriate assistive devices and aseptic techniques
Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient status, changes in condition, or concerns about infectious disease control
Ensure a clean and safe environment adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols
Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records and reports for ongoing care planning
Skills
Proven experience in healthcare environments
Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adults with disabilities, or behavioral health needs
Ability to handle complex cases involving dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care needs with sensitivity and professionalism
Strong caregiving skills complemented by basic life support certification and understanding of HIPAA regulations
Capable of working independently during night shifts while maintaining excellent patient service standards
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and family members
