The Role

We currently have vacancies for Health Care Assistants to join our care team. This position will involve working night shifts over a fixed two week rota.

Night shifts are 20:00 - 08:00 and will be based within our Nursing Home. The rota for this position is fixed and involves working 4 shifts one week, 3 shifts the next.

The purpose of this role is to provide high standards of care to all residents at all times as directed by, and under the supervision of the Nurse in Charge & Unit Manager.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the night. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to track residents' needs and progress. Communicate effectively with team members and residents to foster a supportive environment. Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, enhancing their quality of life.

The successful candidate must;

Be enthusiastic Have good communication and organisational skills Be a team player Have the ability to work on their own initiative Be friendly, creative and confident Have a genuine interest in working with the people with Learning Difficulties Have life skills Be able to promote independence Undertake a satisfactory DBS check. Have a flexible approach towards working routines
