We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and professional
Night Care Assistant
to join our dedicated care team. Working on a
four-weekly rota
, you will provide high-quality overnight support to residents in our care home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the night. This role is ideal for an individual who is committed to delivering person-centred care and maintaining a calm, secure environment during night hours.
Provide respectful and attentive personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming as required
Support residents with mobility, repositioning, and nighttime routines, promoting comfort and dignity
Monitor residents' well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any needs, concerns, or changes in condition
Follow individual care plans accurately to meet each resident's specific needs and preferences
Offer reassurance, companionship, and emotional support to residents who may be awake or anxious during the night
Complete routine cleaning duties, including maintaining hygiene in communal areas, cleaning equipment, and supporting general housekeeping tasks
Assist with light domestic tasks such as meal or drink preparation when required
Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records of care delivered during the shift
Communicate effectively with colleagues during handovers to ensure continuity of care
Adhere to all health and safety, safeguarding, and infection-control procedures at all times.
Previous experience in a care home or home-care environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
Flexibility to work night shifts on a
four-weekly rolling rota
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Good organisational abilities to manage tasks calmly and efficiently during night hours
Basic IT skills for care documentation and communication
A compassionate, patient, and professional approach to supporting vulnerable adults
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
