Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Time Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our carehome. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort and safety, and promoting their overall wellbeing. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the care sector.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, respecting their dignity and privacy. Support individuals with mobility, including helping them move safely around the care environment or their home. Follow personalised care plans to meet each resident's specific needs and preferences. Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing. Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions. Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery. Assist with light domestic duties such as tidying personal spaces and preparing meals when required. Adhere to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures, to ensure a safe environment for all.

Skills

Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen attentively and respond empathetically. Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and completing electronic records. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Ability to work well within a team whilst also demonstrating independence when required. Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the sector. A caring attitude combined with patience, respect, and professionalism is essential for success in this role.

Pay: 12.75 per hour
