Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to various locations as needed. The Care Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Support clients in social activities and community engagement to promote their independence. Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits. Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to converse fluently in English. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining client records and care plans is advantageous. A valid driving licence is required for this position. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
