We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in care homes and those receiving home care services. Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained
Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans, respecting their individual needs and preferences
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' wellbeing
Help with light domestic tasks, including meal preparation and light cleaning, where appropriate
Maintain accurate records of care provided, following organisational procedures
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to safety protocols
Experience
Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation of clients
Knowledge of care plans and basic IT skills for record keeping purposes
Fluency in English and strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
A caring nature with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
