Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in our nursing home ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will be interacting with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall health. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Drive to various locations if required for home care visits or training sessions. Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in care practices.

Skills

Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively. Ability to drive is preferred for roles that involve home visits. Excellent communication skills in English to interact with residents and colleagues effectively. Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals requiring assistance. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when necessary.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
