Location: Carmarthen
Pay: 12.60 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 22:00 - 08:00 | 3 nights on, 3 nights off (includes weekends and bank holidays)

About Towy Castle

Towy Castle is a 61-bed residential care home set within three acres of beautiful gardens overlooking the Towy estuary. Providing high-quality care for older adults and individuals living with dementia, we combine historic charm with a strong person-centred approach. Our team is supportive, experienced, and dedicated to delivering consistency and kindness around the clock.

Your Role

As a Night Care Assistant, you'll be a vital presence throughout the night--supporting residents with empathy and professionalism while helping maintain a peaceful, safe environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting residents with personal care and bedtime routines Providing reassurance and emotional support during the night Monitoring wellbeing and promptly reporting any concerns Supporting early morning preparations Maintaining cleanliness and safety in communal and private areas Working collaboratively with the night team to ensure continuity of care

What We're Looking For

Experience working in a care home setting (essential) Familiarity with dementia care and night shift routines Calm, kind, and attentive with excellent communication skills Proactive, observant, and able to respond sensitively to residents' needs NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete) Previous night shift experience in care is preferred, but full training will be provided to the right candidate
