Night Care Assistant - Towy Castle Care Home

Location: Carmarthen
Pay: 12.60 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 22:00 - 08:00 | 3 nights on, 3 nights off (includes weekends and bank holidays)

About Towy Castle

Set in three acres of landscaped gardens with views over the Towy estuary, Towy Castle Care Home is a 61-bed service offering residential and dementia care in a calm, welcoming setting. With over 35 years of trusted service, our long-standing team is proud to deliver personalised care with dignity, compassion, and consistency.

Your Role

Working overnight, you'll be a reassuring presence for our residents, helping with care needs and maintaining a peaceful and safe environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting personal care and settling-in routines Providing emotional reassurance during the night Monitoring resident wellbeing and reporting changes Assisting with early morning routines and preparations Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the home overnight Working closely with the night team to ensure continuity of care

What We're Looking For

Care experience in a residential or dementia care setting (preferred) Familiarity with night shift routines and responsive care Kind, observant, and calm under pressure Good communication and teamwork skills NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work toward it) Previous night shift experience preferred
