We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support to patients in various healthcare settings. Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management.
Utilize medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices safely and effectively.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
Support patients with mobility challenges and assist with physical therapy exercises as directed.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
Long-term care experience in assisted living or nursing home settings.
Critical care experience within hospitals or Level I/II trauma centers.
Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care expertise.
Familiarity with medical office procedures, including EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
Experience in hospice care, acute care, or emergency medicine is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques is essential.
Previous caregiving experience in home care or community settings is highly valued.
