Night Care Assistant (Full Time Only)

About the Role

We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate individuals to join our night team as full time Night Care Assistants. You will help maintain a safe, calm and supportive environment for residents throughout the night while promoting dignity, comfort and individuality at all times.

Responsibilities

Provide high quality personal care, support and supervision to residents during night hours Assist with continence care, repositioning, mobility and comfort needs Carry out scheduled night checks and respond promptly to call bells Support residents who are awake at night, offering reassurance and companionship Complete accurate night records including repositioning charts, sleep charts and daily notes Maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment including light cleaning, bed changes and equipment checks Follow individual care plans, safeguarding procedures and infection control standards Report any changes in resident well-being to the senior on duty Ensure the home is secure and safe throughout the night

Required Skills and Qualities

Genuine interest in supporting older people and vulnerable individuals Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team Able to work independently and remain calm during quiet and busy periods Willingness to undertake training and development Satisfactory DBS check

Desirable

Previous experience in a care setting NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
