Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and through home care services. Your primary focus will be on assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support individuals in daily activities including meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance Maintain accurate records of care plans and client progress Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required Help create a safe and welcoming environment within the care home or client's residence Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients Ability to follow care plans accurately while demonstrating empathy and patience A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need
