We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Night Care Assistant to join our close-knit team at Hawthorn Court. If you're calm under pressure, proactive in your approach, and have experience supporting residents with dementia, we'd love to hear from you.
About Hawthorn Court
Located in a quiet residential area of Swansea, Hawthorn Court is a 22-bed care home providing high-quality support for older adults, including those living with dementia. Known for its fast-paced yet friendly environment, our home is built on teamwork, trust, and a shared commitment to person-centred care--24 hours a day.
What You'll Do
Deliver respectful and high-quality overnight care to residents
Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, and bedtime routines
Provide emotional reassurance and ensure a peaceful environment
Monitor wellbeing and respond quickly to any changes or concerns
Support light housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and comfort
Work closely with the night team to ensure safe handovers and continuity of care
Who We're Looking For
1 year or more of experience working in a busy care home (essential)
Confidence supporting individuals with dementia
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to care
A strong team player who communicates clearly and calmly
NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Good time management and observation skills
